Oldfield Primary School

A community of proud and resilient children who are learning to take their place in the world.

Reception

In Reception we work together to embed the social and emotional skills that are prerequisites to the mastery of the different areas of the Early Years curriculum. We love to learn in Reception and this can be seen in everything that we take part in. Our curriculum is stimulating and fun because it is based on the children’s own interests.

Please see the termly curriculum maps for more information about teaching and learning in Reception.

Miss Shafiei (YRL)

Having recently completed a degree in Primary Education at St Mary's University, I am looking forward to embark on my first year of teaching at Oldfield Primary School. I believe my passion and drive will help children reach their full potential in a stimulating and nurturing environment where there is opportunity for children to be creative, explore, flourish and grow. Since working in a KS1 setting, which I thoroughly enjoyed, I am excited to be part of Early Years and embed a foundation of skills for children's future. I have always been fascinated by the way children learn through play and discovery.

Mrs Green (YRO)

Teaching has always been my passion, and after 14 years, this is still the case! I read English Literature at university and completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours with Qualified Teacher’s Status. Having worked overseas in China, as well as in schools in the Ealing Borough, I have experience of teaching children in all year groups from Nursery to Year 6. I currently lead Early Years and KS1, as well as teaching in Nursery and co leading English.
